Which Excercise To Get Started with Yoga or Pilates? Best Results
There is a tremendous amount of interest these days in yoga and Pilate’s together. Both are very sophisticated systems of integrative exercise with a lot in common. The six Pilate’s principles are.
Centering concentration control
Precision breath flow
Pilate’s and yoga pants are also quite different from each other, and it is in the differences that we find many of the complimentary aspects of the two that make them such a great team.
Strength and Stretch
In a very general view, Pilate’s focuses more on strength and hatha yoga focuses more on stretch.
Centering, Breath and Flow
Working with the breath is important to both Pilate’s and yoga. The breath is the great cleanser of the body and in both systems one is encouraged to develop conscious breathing, using a deep full breath to enhance the depth and movement of the exercise.
Yoga has a long tradition of working with the breath. There are techniques of breath that are used while performing the yoga Azana’s (poses), and also yoga meditative practices that are based on the breath.
In Pilate’s, the breath is coordinated very specifically with the motion of the exercises.
Benefits of Yoga and Pilates
The benefits of Pilates and yoga are extraordinary. They are both known to support the development of long, strong, graceful bodies that move efficiently without creating bulky muscles. Both disciplines are integrative; associated with stress reduction and increased well-being. Both yoga and Pilates are used as rehabilitative systems. They can be adjusted for a wide range of people and fitness levels, and both support the achievement of very high levels of body/mind/spirit fitness.
When people think of yoga and Pilates, they sometimes think that yoga is “spiritual” and Pilates is not. Yoga does offer a long history of being associated with spiritual practice, or of being a spiritual path unto itself. While I wouldn’t put Pilates in as directly a spiritual context as yoga (one is unlikely to find meditation or chanting in a Pilates class), I would suggest that for those seeking body/mind/spirit integration, Pilates can be a very satisfying discipline
Pilates/Yoga Pants.
So which to do? The happy answer is: For yoga my personal advice, buy a long bootleg pant for a yoga tops with mesh fabric, cotton fabric.
For Pilates my personal advice, buy bottoms 4-way stretch fabric for better performance, for a Pilates tops a medium support that won’t show the world your belly button.

What Kind Of Fabrics Are The Best For Fitness Apparel
Fitness wear has a great growing up for its niche markets since aerobics routine became a popular sport.
There are many millions of people around the world participate in some form of aerobics routine or the other. That is because aerobics routine can be done anywhere, anytime, as well as remains fun and advantages for losing weight and keeping in shape.
Aerobics routine requires perfect fitness wear to make you looking good and comfortable. It is hard to exercise if you are not comfortable especially for beginner and new to aerobics exercise. The continuous movements of up and down in aerobics routine can put a toll on players’ body if they don’t wear the right type of fitness clothing.
Even though finding the right fitness apparel really depends on what activity you are undertaking, whether indoors or outdoors, and different seasons, there is one basic essential you must bear in mind. Fitness apparel must be flexible and stretch.
I highly recommend the following fabrics.
- Stretching fabrics are the most common type for fitness apparel because they are generally more flexible.
- Cotton with Lycra is adequate for keeping warm and absorbing sweat.
- Organic fabrics like bamboo Spandex, Cotton Spandex and Soy.

Pilates…Pilates…There are a lot of reasons why people do Pilates. Here are my six best reasons why I like Pilates. It is no secret I want to inspire you and give you the opportunity to follow-up on the aspects of Pilates training that interest you. My personal list of the benefits of Pilates could be 10 items. If you already do Pilates, read the list and see if your favorite reason to do Pilates is here send your comments and experience about it.
1-Flexibilty In Pilates, we work toward a safe increase in length and stretch of the muscles and range of motion within the joints. Your body can stretch and bend to meet the flow of life is a very realistic goal.
2-Promotes Weight Loss, if you practice Pilates regularly, it will change your body. Pilates known for creating long, strong muscles and a leaner look. Pilates improves muscle tone, balances musculature, supports beautiful posture, and teaches you to move with ease and grace. All of these things will make you look and feel very fit and sexy.
3-Body/Mind Connection I define Pilates “the complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit.” This is one of the secrets of Pilates exercise: we practice each movement with total attention. When we exercise in this way, the body and mind unite to bring forth the most benefit possible from each exercise. The Pilates principles — centering, concentration, control, precision, breath, and flow — are key concepts that we use to integrate body and mind
4-.Improves Posture, since I started practice Pilates I noticed that I am able to move more freely. When I started practicing with Pilates learn about movement like mats, equipment exercises my body express itself with strength and harmony. You can see this in the beautiful posture of those who practice Pilates.
5-Adaptable to many fitness levels and needs. I remember when I walked to Body and Soul Pilates Studio in Barranquilla I have a butterfly in my stomach. The instructor explained the foundations of Pilate’s movement apply to me. Building from core strength, focusing on proper alignment, and a body/mind integrative approach. At that time my fitness levels was good because I was doing spinning, yoga cardio and I want to increase flexibility was my personal goal but Pilates is not about flexibility was more deep workout that could be beneficial for my others personal needs.
6- Increase Energy. My workout routine include Pilates 2 times a week I get better breathing, improve circulation moving more flexible around and my whole body feel good with new energy that I did not have before. Thank Pilates. “Gracias Pilates”
